Turning Conflict into Collaboration - Event Highlights

Posted on 29/04/2026 by Charlotte Frank

Recently, we welcomed Denis Miles-Vinall to the Charlotte Frank office for an engaging and interactive session focused on a challenge faced across every organisation: navigating conflict in the workplace.

Bringing together HR professionals and business leaders, the session created an open space to reflect, share experiences, and explore practical ways to approach complex interpersonal dynamics with greater confidence and control.

Self-Awareness

A core theme throughout the session was the importance of managing ourselves before managing others. Attendees explored how internal triggers, stress responses and communication styles shape workplace interactions, often more than we realise. A simple but powerful framework ‘Stop, Breathe, Choose, Respond’ encouraged participants to pause, creating space between reaction and response in high-pressure moments.

Key Highlights:

  • Practical techniques for managing difficult personalities and behaviours in the workplace

  • A deeper understanding of personality differences and how they impact communication and conflict

  • A simple framework to respond more effectively under pressure

  • Real-life workplace scenarios, shared and explored collaboratively

  • Actionable tools that can be applied immediately in day-to-day interactions

The session remained grounded in real workplace challenges, with attendees openly sharing experiences and learning from one another. The level of engagement reflected just how relevant this topic continues to be across organisations and industries.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed so openly to the discussion.
