A top tier International law firm is looking for a Paralegal to join their team to provide all round legal support for their Hong Kong office. The successful candidate will have excellent English and strong Mandarin communication skills, be able to work at pace, and be detail-oriented and demonstrate excellent organisational skills. RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with the creation and maintenance of various legal documents, including organizational documents, partnership and limited liability company agreements, side letters, transfer agreements, admission agreements, and other amendments. This involves ensuring that these documents are accurate, up-to-date, and comply with relevant laws and regulations
Conduct due diligence reviews of documents related to fund formation, such as investor suitability, regulatory compliance, and legal opinions. This involves analysing the documents to identify any potential risks or issues and providing recommendations on how to address them
Conduct research on securities regulations and prepare and file requisite notices. This involves staying up-to-date with changes in regulations and laws that affect fund formation and ensuring that the fund is in compliance with these regulations
Handle compliance reporting on behalf of venture fund clients with respect to their public company stock portfolios. This involves monitoring and reporting on any changes in the stock portfolios and ensuring that the fund is complying with any relevant laws or regulations
Perform other duties as assigned or required, which may include assisting with the preparation of presentations, attending meetings with clients, and providing general support to the legal team as needed
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree
1-3 years of experience in venture capital transactions and fund formation
Strong communication skills in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel skills preferred)
Ability to establish positive relationships and handle confidential information discreetly
