Our client is a preeminent global law firm with a stable team in Hong Kong and growing presence in Asia Pacific. They are now seeking a top calibre and highly proactive and adaptable Practice Development Executive to support their business development, events planning and marketing initiatives. Responsibilities:
Build a solid knowledge of the key practice groups' services as well as a good understanding of each partner and group's strategy, priorities, and clients in the Hong Kong office
Assist in the planning and execution of both internal and external events including office social events, webinars, seminars, client receptions, hospitality events, trainings, conferences, and regional retreats
Coordinate with Communications and prepare submissions for legal directories and award entries, and ensure all deals are profiled in various legal and ranking tables
Communicate directly with clients and prospective clients to coordinate business development opportunities, including meetings with attorneys, sponsorships, conference attendance, charitable donations, webinars and marketing events
Work with Communications team to raise firm’s profile, and proactively develop relationships with relevant media on the ground in Hong Kong
Assist with research and analysis of industry trends, client developments, and competitive intelligence
Coordinate and prepare pitches and proposals, responses to RFPs, client presentations and other marketing materials to the highest standards
Coordinate information-sharing on case and deal related developments, external presentations, conferences and articles across practice groups, offices and the firm
Serve as a trusted-resource and interface for attorneys on firm policies and procedures and with all professional services staff
Work with the wider team in Asia team to support the implementation of practice group strategic plans, cross-border initiatives and client focused initiatives
Requirements:
An undergraduate degree with experience in a law firm or professional services
A minimum of 4 years’ experience in marketing, business development, and/or events planning is desirable
Excellent command of both written and spoken English and prior experience working in an international environment
Exceptional project management, prioritization and organizational skills
Ability to work independently, identify and solve problems, and take initiative
Demonstrated ability to effectively use technology
