Job Description

This hugely successful Global Investment Bank is looking to hire an outstanding ‘Career Receptionist’ – fantastic opportunity for an experienced, conscientious and extremely well-presented individual. A minimum of x3-x5 years of experience in a corporate environment, ideally Financial Services/Investment Bank, is essential.  You will be 100% service driven and enjoy working in a varied role with the opportunity to demonstrate outstanding communication skills along with a highly organised, self-motivated nature.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Ensuing all aspects of visitors’ experience is of the highest standard
  • Responsibilities include ensuring refreshments are provided; internal stakeholders are informed of guests arrival; manage the meetings rooms including rooms bookings, meeting room preparation, assist with video conference set-up
  • Operate the telephone switchboard, ensuring incoming calls are answered promptly and politely, diverted to the appropriate internal party as efficiently as possible, or clear messages are taken and passed to the appropriate party quickly
  • Responsible for incoming and outgoing mail from postal service and courier companies; ensure mail is sorted and delivered to the relevant internal party as quickly as possible  
  • Reception relief – arrange for relief cover at lunchtimes, during annual and other leave as necessary
  • Assist vendors with carrying out routine office equipment readings, minor repairs such as light bulb replacement
  • Replenishing staff pantry 
  • Provide support cover for Investment Banking secretaries when on annual or medical leave including email and telephone requests; arranging meetings, conference calls and in-house lunches; booking or making changes to travel arrangements (flights, hotels, transport)
Requirements:
  • Excellent English language skills 
  • Knowledge of telephone switchboard operation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Pro-active and flexible attitude, with the ability to demonstrate initiative and reliability
  • Calm, solution-based mentality
  • Strong MS Office knowledge
