Our client; a long established and top player in its sector, is now seeking a commercially astute Finance Director to drive and lead their North Asia Finance team whilst based in Hong Kong. This role will be a key part of the Management team with dual reporting to the Regional CFO and Regional Managing Director whilst working closely with different Business Unit owners to drive the business forward and help create a strategy for significant growth and expansion. Responsibilities:
- Participate in the development and execution of the long term strategic vision of the North Asia region
- Create and lead the financial strategy for the business to achieve its strategy and growth objectives
- Be a business partner working closely with the Managing Director and Business Unit owners to lead and drive the commercial growth and success of the region
- Oversee all financial operations, financial management, reporting, budgeting & planning, auditing, tax, and accounting activities of the region
- Manage relations with banks, financial institutions and UK Head Office in relation to funding, transactional platforms and compliance
- Lead feasibility studies on business strategy and future M&A
- Communicate with internal & external auditors, tax advisor and bankers
- Review & implement financial control policies and procedures and be responsible for improvements to strengthen operational efficiency
- Partner with SSC for the financial accounting and credit control function
- Continue to develop and improve the financial management system
- Instrumental in the implementation of Group policy & procedures
- Manage and develop the Finance team within the region
Requirements:
- Minimum of 15 years’ relevant experience gained in a multinational corporate environment, with matrix and complex reporting structure preferred
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or similar discipline
- Must be CPA qualified with audit background & experience
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills in both English & Mandarin
- Excellent people management and leadership skills with ability to gain credibility and work with stakeholders in various divisions and countries
- Organized and methodical with strong attention to detail and sound business acumen
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage conflicting demands whilst maintaining a strong commitment to quality
- Advanced user of MS Excel and PowerPoint, knowledge in OneStream would be highly advantageous
