They are now seeking a top calibre and highly proactive and adaptable Paralegal/Legal Assistant to support the lawyers and legal professionals in the Hong Kong office. Responsibilities:
- Assist the Corporate team in streamlining the filing of legal documents
- Assist with the implementation of processes for hard copy document collections and tracking logs
- Coordinate and assist with the assembly of exhibits, appendices for court filings, exhibits for depositions and/or trial for supervision
- Provide support to the lawyers in preparing, revising and finalizing basic legal and written documents
- Perform media searches to find out online information about companies
- Assist in binder preparation and distribution
- Exhibit understanding of international business practices and markets
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- LLB qualified or related disciplines
- Prior experience working as a legal assistant with an international law firm in Hong Kong is desired
- Exceptional research skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English. Mandarin, Cantonese, and other Asian language skills would be advantageous
- Able to maintain strict confidentiality of the firm’s internal and personnel affairs and client information and adhere to ethical rules of a paralegal position
- Strong phone, email and in-person communication skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritise workload and meet with tight deadlines
- Adaptable and collaborative nature
