My client is an extremely well-connected high-end art dealer looking for a part-time accountant. The successful candidate must be able to work autonomously, be fluent (almost native) in English and Chinese, with high integrity and sense of confidentiality.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage all accounting transactions
Prepare budget forecasts
Publish financial statements in time
Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
Ensure timely bank payments
Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
Audit financial transactions and documents
Comply with financial policies and regulations
Liaise with buyers and vendors if required
REQUIREMENTS
At least 6 years’ experience as an Accountant / Financial Manager
Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
Experience with general ledger functions
Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus
Able to speak French is a plus
