Our client is a visionary nonprofit organization, and they are seeking an enthusiastic Communications Officer/ Copywriter with native English Fluency, who process exceptional storytelling abilities and has the talent to transform ideas or concepts into captivating narratives. The ideal candidate should excel at generating compelling content with a versatile tone of voice that can effectively engage diverse audiences across various mediums. This role specifically focuses on crafting impactful messages for charitable events.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary storyteller, developing creative English content that captivates and engages diverse audiences. This includes customizing content for specific target audiences across various mediums, such as emails, invitations, interview scripts, speeches, press releases, pitching decks, and printed materials like brochures.
Collaborate with the digital marketing team to strategize, plan, write, edit, and publish content across online channels, including websites, social media platforms, newsletters, blogs, and videos.
Proofread, edit, and conduct research on content received from internal and external sources.
Ensure smooth communication with external parties, such as coordinating with press and media, and liaising with public relations professionals.
Provide ad-hoc support and assistance for events as assigned by the Foundation's management and associated organizations.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
Minimum of 1 year of solid experience in corporate communication/ PR
exceptional storytelling skills and strong command of English grammar.
Showcase proven copywriting abilities, supported by a portfolio or previous work examples.
Exhibit efficiency in writing with appropriate sensibilities and tones.
Display excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Be able to meet tight deadlines and perform effectively under pressure.
Demonstrate a proactive and motivated work approach, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Exhibit strong interpersonal skills and be a collaborative team player.
Possess proficiency in Microsoft Office and be comfortable using Gmail.
Possess digital marketing or event experience (an advantage).
Show an interest in the arts, culture, heritage, and education (an advantage).
Candidates with previous administrative and secretarial experience will have an advantage.
Candidates with more experience may be considered for the Senior Communications Officer role.
