You will be responsible for the operational day-to-day management of all legal support services for all Hong Kong Practice Groups and Business Services. Responsibilities
Manage resources and allocate or re-distribute work and support to ensure administrative capability is both optimised and available to support the Practice Groups in their delivery to clients
Management of performance and employee relation issues, including disciplinary and dismissal, in conjunction with HR
Recruit and select high calibre support staff to ensure the quality and consistency of services provided to legal teams and clients
Develop the capability of the support team, including their ability to deliver excellent work, connect with people, and develop and maintain a successful relationship with clients
Monitor and maintain both quality and consistency of services provided, and identify and progress opportunities for improvement
Manage planned and unplanned absences and ensure adequate cover is available in the Practice Group
Escalate and alert the relevant Practice Group heads to issues that may impact the day to day operations on an ongoing basis
Create a team environment that is inclusive of all members and ensure information is readily shared
Experience
5+ years' experience in leading sizeable teams of people.
Previous management of a legal support team highly desirable.
Well-developed time management and prioritisation skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders
Demonstrated commercial acumen
Sound operational management skills
Strong project management skills
