Our client is a highly prestigious and renowned luxury brand headquartered out of Hong Kong. They are currently seeking a senior legal officer to support their in house legal team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Conserves the Group General Counsel (GGC)’s time by researching, reviewing and verifying new regulations, reports and legal documents, drafting correspondence, policies and documents, collecting and analysing information
Provides comprehensive support to the Legal team in compliance projects, coordinates and liaises with different departments and senior management to facilitate and monitor project implementation
Perform as department coordinator to maintain Document Management System, department meeting arrangement, team building activities and provides full spectrum of secretarial support to the GGC and the Legal Counsel
Prepare and contributes to the presentation materials and infographics that require creativity and design ideas for the department, taking meeting minutes, organise trainings, prepare newsletters, reports and handle legal invoices as required
Monitors the progress of various lawsuits and employment claims in various jurisdictions, and communicates with operation HR, external counsel, insurer and the GGC to ensure the claims are on track and appropriate approvals are obtained in time
Conducts bilingual translation and proof-reading of legal documents, policies, compliance manuals and annual/interim reports
Perform as support staff to Group General Manager, Business Diversification, and conducts research on specific business diversification topics, industry trends and assist with business plan and budget preparation
REQUIREMENTS
At least 1 years' experience in business support and secretarial settings
Previous experience as a paralegal or legal secretary is advantageous but other backgrounds will also be considered
Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
Well-organised, good presentation skills and creative ability
Good interpersonal skills and a good team player
