A leading global economic research and consultancy firm is looking to hire a Business Development & Marketing Executive for the Greater China territory. This person will be responsible for assisting the business development team with lead generation, client servicing and general marketing activities for the business.
This position is an integral part of the firm’s growth plans for Greater China and is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing company at the forefront of the industry. The key responsibilities within this role are as follows:
Responsibilities:
- Sales and Client Management
- Assisting in lead generation through phone contact, cold calls and internet research
- Through market analysis, identify key companies in the territory, key individuals within companies, and support the Business Development team in establishing relationships with these prospects
- Research leads and new prospects via internet sites
- Assist the team in managing relationships with existing clients to ensure a smooth renewal process and work on upselling new subscription products
- Organise video conferences and face-to-face meetings for the Business Development team
- Responding to free trial requests
- Develop a strong knowledge of the subscription products and become proficient at providing demonstrations of these services
- Prepare weekly sales reports to be shared with senior management
- Ensure contact details of new leads and sales activities are recorded in company CRM system
- Marketing and Event Management
- Assist and create marketing campaigns and materials for Greater China audience
- Translation of marketing materials and content marketing campaigns for Greater China audience
- Organise and manage marketing events in Greater China to raise brand profile and increase sales opportunities
- Manage the firm’s social media presence in Greater China
- Assist in arranging speaking engagements for Senior Economists
- Organization of events, such as roundtables and conferences, put on by the firm in the Greater China territory.
- Assist with general office tasks, such as supply restocking, business card and presentation printing, etc
Requirements:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, ideally within a relevant field (economics, business, marketing)
- Fluent in Mandarin and English; Cantonese language skills also desirable
- Strong writing skills in Mandarin and English, including the ability to translate from English to Mandarin
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales and/or business development is highly desirable
- Previous experience in designing marketing materials and campaigns would be advantageous
- An interest in economics and current affairs
- Comfortable making cold calls
- Exceptional project management, prioritization and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to effectively use technology
- Must be a team player
