Our client is a leading and highly established investment management firm with offices across the globe. Due to strategic expansion, an exceptional opportunity has now been created to support the Business Manager, APAC, and COO on various projects. You will help ensure the smooth and effective operations of various businesses within APAC and will be able to make a real impact in a highly visible role with exposure to all functions and the senior leadership team. You will be a self-starter who is willing to handle any manner of task and roll up your sleeves.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work closely with the Business Manager, APAC to support the execution of initiatives related to business strategies
• Drive strategic and operational improvements for various business units
• Analyze, monitor, report, and execute against KPIs of our businesses (e.g., P&L, market share, pricing, volumes, etc.)
• Manage new business initiatives from conception and scoping to development, implementation, and ongoing operations
• Assist in project management of initiatives across various jurisdictions in APAC
• Evaluate key aspects of evolving markets in support of market structure initiatives
• Develop deep understanding of competitive landscape and use data points and intel to inform strategy and key decisions
REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum of a Bachelor Degree; MBA or equivalent experience preferred
• At least 5-8 years of relevant work experience
• A highly motivated, analytic and data-driven mind-set with a demonstrated record of leadership and success
• Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced team environment
• Excellent analytical skills, with strong attention to detail
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English; other Asian languages would be advantageous
• Prior experience within a top management consulting, investment banking or systematic trading organization
• Experience/Exposure to market structure, prop trading strategies and related technologies a plus
• Broad experience with a range of functional areas such as Operations, IT, QR, HR, Legal and Regulatory Issues
