Our top tier client is looking for an experienced House Teacher & Coach to provide personalized academic instruction and character development for their children in their private residence. This dual role combines tailored teaching with mentorship, fostering intellectual growth, emotional intelligence, and life skills. The ideal candidate is both an educator and a role model, capable of creating a structured yet engaging learning environment.
Responsibilities
Academic Instruction:
Deliver customized lessons in core subjects (e.g., Art, math, science, language arts) aligned with child’s grade level/homeschool curriculum/international standards.
Design project-based learning activities to enhance critical thinking and creativity.
Monitor progress, assess learning gaps, and adapt teaching methods to individual needs.
Coaching & Mentorship:
Teach executive functioning skills (time management, organization, goal-setting).
Foster social-emotional development (confidence, resilience, conflict resolution).
Introduce mindfulness practices or extracurricular interests (e.g., debate, coding, arts).
Household Collaboration:
Coordinate with parents to align educational goals with family values.
Communicate regularly about progress, challenges, and strategies.
Supervise study routines and maintain a conducive learning space.
Extras:
Plan educational outings (museums, cultural events).
Light household duties related to the child’s routine (e.g., meal prep during study breaks).
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Psychology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
3+ years teaching/tutoring + coaching (private household, schools, or elite programs).
Chinese speaking is a must (Mandarin preferred)
Patient, adaptable, and passionate about holistic development.
Proficient in [e.g., Montessori/IB/homeschool methodologies].
Clean background check, CPR certification (preferred).
Ideal Candidate:
A former teacher transitioning to private education.
A coach with experience in sports/leadership/therapeutic practices].
Multilingual or culturally aware (if applicable).
