They have an excellent working culture that places emphasis on work life balance. They are now seeking a top calibre Legal Secretary to join and support their Litigation & Corporate team. Responsibilities:
- Provide full range of first-class secretarial and administrative support to a partner and associates
- Assist in a wide range of legal matters, including preparing bundles, drafting simple correspondence, audio typing and maintain accurate filings
- Prepare legal documents, manage DTE entries and assist in billings
- Open legal files and assist in conflict search
- Manage the designated fee earner’s calendar, schedule appointments and handle daily correspondence and other business related documents
- Coordinate meetings and conference calls, ensuring rooms and conference facilities are booked, liaising with attendees if necessary
- Plan and manage fee earners’ travel arrangements, producing detailed itineraries and preparing key documents such as visas and any related correspondence
- Prepare, format, proofread, amend and file documents in line with the firm’s document management processes
- Respond and deal with external or internal telephone calls and queries in a professional manner
- Assist in updating fee earners’ CPD & CLE
- Perform any ad hoc tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- At least 4-5 years’ legal secretarial experience within international law firms
- Priority will be given to candidates with litigation and corporate exposure
- Basic understanding of billing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin; Chinese typing skills are essential
- Excellent organisation and document management skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritise workload and meet with tight deadlines
- Adaptable with a high level of personal responsibility
