A reputable international corporate and investment bank is looking for a knowledgeable Accountant to join their team based in Hong Kong on an initial 12-month contract. The successful candidate will be self-motivated with solid banking and accounts payable knowledge.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the payment process and tracking, and ensure its continued improvement
- Preparing and reviewing the budget and forecasts
- Timely response to all vendor enquiries and follow-up on any disputes
- Substantiating the payment balances by producing monthly supporting schedules including fixed assets register and reports
- Assist in month-end closing including tax schedule, variance analysis and schedules
- Prepare and review HKMA Banking Returns and Census surveys
- Support regulator interactions and ad-hoc Head Office requests
- Partner with team members and internal stakeholders
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Commerce / Business discipline
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Good time management, innovative, motivated and energetic
- Strong leadership skills
- Solid previous Banking and Accounts Payable experience
