Our client, a financial institution in Hong Kong is looking for an Accountant to join their growing team. The successful candidate will be detail-minded and highly efficient. Responsibilities:
- Ensure accounting transactions are recorded timely and accurately for month end closing
- Assist in preparing and reviewing month end reconciliations and journals
- Review the monthly ledgers for all overseas subsidiaries
- Communicate with internal and external parties
- Invoicing and reconciliation of internet sales/payments, intercompany accounts, and management of weekly treasure forecast
- Responsible for month end closing with general ledger, tax and audit procedures
- Produce monthly reports to analyse the actual figures versus budget
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies
- Provide other support, as required, to the overseas offices
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in a similar role; financial services experience would be essential
- Degree qualified in Accountancy, Banking, Finance, or related fields
- Familiarity with HK and PRC accounting and practices
- Knowledge of securities and future ordinance and FRR would be highly advantageous
- Working knowledge of SAP, Concur and/or BusinessObjects
- Proficient Excel skills, including pivot tables and other common functions
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin
- Organized and methodical with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage conflicting demands whilst maintaining a strong commitment to quality
- Experience of internal controls, consolidation, financial and management reporting
