An Asia based hedge fund with a phenomenal track record and outstanding backing is now seeking a top calibre and highly proactive Business Development Associate to support their Business Development Director in Hong Kong. Responsibilities:
- Support prospecting activities
- Conduct market research and identify potential clients
- Track and maintain institutional pipeline
- Aid in preparation for consultant and investor meetings and conference calls and assist deliverables as follow up meetings
- Collaborate cross functionally – Fund Operations, Investment - to develop responses to inquiries and efficiently communicate findings to clients and senior management
- Assist in drafting of business plans, sales pitches, presentations, reference materials, datasets and other documents as required
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines
- Identify new business opportunities and partners
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with various levels of management and staff
- Work with fund administrator to facilitate subscriptions / redemptions and related AML / KYC requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree holder, ideally within a relevant field (Business, Finance, Marketing)
- Strong knowledge of asset management / hedge fund industry
- A minimum of 3 - 5 years’ related experience in sales and/or business development
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in both English & Chinese (Simplified & Traditional)
- Demonstrated ability to effectively use technology: Microsoft Office and relevant software
- Exceptional project management, prioritization and organizational skills
- Strong commitment to quality and detail-minded
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with ability to foster and maintain positive relationships
- Enthusiastic and proactive
