An Asian based hedge fund with a phenomenal track record and outstanding backing is now seeking a top notch and highly meticulous Fund Operations expert to help oversee their middle office operations. Responsibilities:
- Handle daily and monthly reconciliations
- Prepare daily P&L and risk reports for traders and PMs and any other ad-hoc reports as needed
- Monitor settlements, collateral, and cash management
- Liaise with executing brokers, prime brokers, fund administrator and system vendors to resolve trade issues and trade breaks
- Work closely with internal teams such as trading, finance and compliance to ensure smooth operational flow
- Review fund capital activity to ensure it is properly processed
- Any other ad hoc duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Degree qualified
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a middle/back office support role, ideally with buy-side firms
- Prior experience working with fund administrator and/or financial services audit
- Strong understanding of financial services, related products and services, operational requirements and procedures, market and technology related trends
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Outstanding VBA macro skills
- Fluency in English and Cantonese; Mandarin would be advantageous
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, prioritise workload and meet with tight deadlines
- Great attitude and able to collaborate with the larger team
