A prestigious and international management consulting firm is now seeking a top calibre and highly meticulous Paralegal(with a focus to Corporate/Business Law)to support their legal department. RESPONSIBILITIES
Independently drafting, reviewing & negotiating MSA, NDA, Contracts, RFPs, Confidentiality Agreements
Allocate work to attorneys and keep track of the progress of the allocated work
Support attorneys in response to subpoenas, regulatory requests, discovery requests and private equity letters Support attorneys in enforcing document retention policies and procedures
Maintain databases for various initiatives/compliance processes
Maintain all records and contracts and prepare periodic reports on active and closed matters
Collaborate with team members across the region on specific projects
Participate in projects to streamline legal processes through the use of technology
Perform other work-related duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in law preferred.
A minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience in drafting business contracts, MSA’s, NDA’s, Confidentiality Agreements and RFP’s,
Exposure to Business/Corporate Law in a Multi-national organisation or professional services organisations isa must(Regional experience an advantage)
Experience with in-house legal file management systems
Fluency (both spoken and written) English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese).
Ability to work in an international environment throughout several jurisdictions in Asia
Excellent interpersonal skills, including clear and effective communication skills
Excellent organisational skills and judgment
Excellent team player attitude, with the ability to work well under pressure and multi-task
Ability to handle high volume of work, recognise priorities, and manage time effectively
Computer skills required (including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Fresh graduates or applicants with in-house and no commercial law experience are at a distinct disadvantage, and need not apply
