About the role
We are looking for two experienced part-time tutors to provide one-on-one personalised tuition to students studying at an international school in Hong Kong.
Media Studio Technician Tutor
Design & Technology Tutor
These positions offer flexible working hours, making them ideal for professionals who can work after school hours or on weekends.
Responsibilities
Provide tailored, one-on-one tutoring sessions aligned with the international school curriculum (e.g., IB, IGCSE, or A-Level).
Guide students in developing technical and creative skills relevant to their subject areas, including the use of specialised tools, software, and techniques.
Support students with coursework, project development, and examination preparation.
Inspire critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving through engaging and innovative teaching approaches.
Monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods to suit their individual learning styles and needs.
Offer constructive feedback to help students refine their skills and achieve their academic goals.
Stay informed about curriculum developments and best practices in education for the relevant subjects.
Requirements
A degree in a relevant field such as Media Production, Design, Engineering, Technology, Education, or a related discipline.
Proven experience teaching or mentoring students in the respective subject area at an international school level.
Familiarity with international curricula such as IB, IGCSE, or A-Level.
Proficiency in relevant tools, software, and techniques (e.g., design software, media production tools, or fabrication techniques).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and engage students.
A passion for teaching and helping students develop their skills and confidence.
Flexibility to adapt to the student’s schedule and individual learning pace.
Experience working with students from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds.
